About vetiver
Vetiver is a grass, and the scent is captured from its meters-long roots. The smell is unique: a combination of grass, earthy, and water aromas overlaid with woodiness and hints of smoke. Mainly grown in Haiti, Ile de Réunion (Vetiver Bourbon), and Indonesia, there is a beautiful terroir aspect to vetiver; its country of origin, soil, weather, and other growing conditions flavor the grass in different ways. Indonesian vetiver is generally more earthy and bitter, whereas the vetiver from La Réunion and Haiti have a rounder and saltier profile with a cleaner green aspect. The differing vetiver profiles in Vetiver Rain combine to produce a multi-layered and rewarding perfume experience.
